Why Scout & Tell exists
Scout & Tell started with a simple hunch: Northern Colorado is full of small, wonderful things worth pointing at. The story of the couple who bought the old feed store and turned it into a bakery. The trail that reopens on Friday. The tucked-away patio with the best light in town.
There's no shortage of headlines out there. What we felt was missing was something warmer, a Sunday-morning letter that celebrates the people and places that make life here feel like home. So we started sending one.
We don't chase news. We don't chase outrage. We take our time, walk the streets, and share what we find.
Meet the Author
Hi, I'm Matt.
I live in Fort Collins and have always been drawn to good stories and strong communities. Years ago, I spent time pursuing journalism and discovered that what I enjoyed most wasn't necessarily the news itself, but the people behind the stories.
Over the years, I've built businesses, raised a family, and put down roots here in Northern Colorado, but that love for storytelling never really left.
Scout & Tell brings together a lot of things I love: discovering hidden gems, learning local history, meeting interesting people, supporting small businesses, and finding fun things to do around town.
My hope is simple: that Scout & Tell helps people get out, explore more, and appreciate what makes this corner of Colorado such a great place to live.
